Botanic nets – 100% free of plastics

Lenzing™ fibers are 100% bio-degradable and can be composted at home and in industrial composting facilities. This fact makes packaging solutions from Lenzing a natural and sustainable alternative to conventional materials. Wood is used as the raw material for their production. Nets of Lenzing™ fibers decompose within 8 weeks and can be disposed of and decomposed with ease along with other organic waste. Lenzing’s new packaging concept fully supports the megatrend favoring regional foodstuffs. From raw material extraction through to fiber production and net production, the manufacturing process as a whole takes place in Austria and Europe.

New Segment – Protective Wear & Workwear

To serve the market more systematically, Lenzing AG established a new Business Segment at the beginning of 2017: Protective Wear & Workwear. The TENCEL® brand Lyocell fiber in particular is perfect for processing woven and knitted fabrics for workwear. Excellent moisture management, a long service life, brilliant depth of color and a soft hand are only a few of the properties that distinguish TENCEL® fibers in the workwear sector. One of the main focuses will be polo shirts of TENCEL®/polyester fibers that satisfy the needs of discerning industrial customers and industrial laundries alike. At the A+A Düsseldorf in October 2017, the first joint appearance is planned showcasing workwear and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Future Black – as black as on the first day

Woven (e.g., denim) or knitted fabrics (e.g., seamless) that look as good after 50 washes as the first day you bought them? The branded fibers Lenzing Modal® - Future Black offer the solution! Lenzing Modal® fibers in black are spun-dyed, which means that the black color is added to the fibers in the production process. The color is infused directly into the fiber and does not wash out. Fabrics no longer have to be dyed black when Lenzing Modal® fibers are used. This saves on water, energy and dyestuffs while also protecting the environment.

Dress of TENCEL® fibers for fair hostesses

For Texworld NY, Messe Frankfurt dressed its hostesses in yellow dresses of TENCEL® fibers. The smooth surface of the textile is extremely soft and avoids skin irritations. Thus, TENCEL® fibers promote an optimum skin sensation due to the smooth fiber surface. Compared with other materials, TENCEL® fibers feel much cooler even with rising temperatures. This property is achieved as a result of the smooth fiber surface and the high moisture buffering capacity. Moisture is absorbed in the textile and disperses into the air so that the skin is automatically cooled by the evaporation. This means the fair hostesses can enjoy a pleasant wear comfort all day long.
